Who processes your data

What data we collect
Only what you type into the enquiry form yourself:
- your name
- your email address
- your phone number, if you enter it, as it is optional
- the arrival and departure dates you want
- the number of guests
- the message you write to us
We do not ask for a single piece of data that we do not need in order to answer your enquiry.
Why we process them
To answer your enquiry, check whether the dates are free and arrange your stay. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, under Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
If a booking is made, we also process your data to perform the contract and to meet the legal obligations that every accommodation provider has, including the registration of guests.
How long we keep them
Enquiries that were answered but did not lead to a booking are deleted no later than one year after the last message. Data relating to completed bookings is kept for as long as tax and hospitality rules require.
Who we share them with
With nobody, except where we must. Your enquiry arrives at the house owner's email address. We do not sell your data, do not pass it to third parties for marketing, and do not send it outside the European Economic Area.
The data may be accessible to the email provider and to the provider of the server hosting this site, strictly to the extent necessary for those services to work, and to the competent authorities where the law requires it.
Your rights
At any time you may request:
- access to the data we hold about you
- correction of inaccurate data
- erasure of the data
- restriction of processing
- transfer of the data to another controller
- objection to the processing
Send your request to cloud9holidayhouse@gmail.com. We reply within one month at the latest.
If you believe we are not processing your data lawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency, Selska cesta 136, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection. All photographs, videos and fonts are hosted on this server, so your browser sends no data to any outside service while you are on the site.
Short and honest
This site sets no tracking cookies. No Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no advertising cookies and no sharing of data with outside services.
What does get stored
A single entry, and only after you click a button in the bar at the bottom:
- cloud9_privola
- Remembers your choice so the bar does not ask again every time. It is stored in your browser, sent nowhere, and lasts 12 months.
This entry is necessary, because without it we cannot honour your choice.
Analytics
We do not use it at present. If we ever introduce it, it will load only after you press Accept all, never before. As long as you choose Only necessary, nothing runs but the site itself.
How to change your choice
Click Cookie settings at the bottom of the page and choose again. You can also delete everything stored yourself, by clearing the site data in your browser settings.
External content
The links to Booking.com, Instagram and Facebook lead to those companies' own sites, which have their own cookie rules. Until you click them, nothing travels from this site to them.
